Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has invited job application for 677 SA & MTS positions in Intelligence Bureau department.
In the IB Recruitment 2023, there are openings for Security Assistant / Motor Transport (SA/MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff positions. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website mha.gov.in.

MHA IB SA and MTS Vacancy 2023 Details
In the MHA IB vacancy, there are 677 positions to be filled. Out of these, 362 posts are for Security Assistant-Motor Transport posts, and 315 vacancies are for Multitasking Staff.

IB Recruitment Eligibility
Applicants must have completed 10th grade from a recognized board and be familiar with any of the local languages. If applying for SA MT posts, they should also possess a LMV vehicle driving license. Additionally, one year of experience in driving a motor car is required.
Age Limit
The age limit for the Security Assistant position is 18 to 27 years, while for the MTS position it is 18 to 25 years.
Aspirants belonging to the SC and ST categories will receive a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit, and candidates belonging to the OBC category will receive a relaxation of 3 years.
IB Recruitment 2023 Selection Process
The Tier-1 exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. The subjects covered include General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and English. Each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of fourteen marks.
The Tier-2 Exam for SA and MT will cover topics related to Motor Mechanism, Driving, and Interview.
MTS candidates will have an English Language Descriptive Test that includes a comprehension section. It is important to note that the Tier-1 exam is only for qualification purposes.
The merit list for SA and MT will be based on performance in Tier-1 and Tier-2. The merit list for MTS will be based on performance in Tier-1.
IB Vacancy 2023 Salary
The salary for the post of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) is between Rs 21,700 and Rs 69,100 per month at Level 3. For the post of MTS, the salary is between Rs 18,000 and Rs 56,900 per month at Level 1.
